ApexSQL October II newsletter - 5 new releases and several new videos highlighted, special renewal and upgrade offer extended   Click here to view this newsletter in your browser         ApexSQL October II 2018 newsletter     With Microsoft releasing so many new things recently (Windows Server 2019, Azure SQL Database Managed Instance, SSMS 18 and SQL Server 2019 CTP 2.0), we also keep our release schedule busy. In this newsletter, we'll highlight 5 new releases and several new videos, and extend the deadline for the special renewal and upgrade discount offered in the last newsletter New releases ApexSQL BI Monitor ApexSQL BI Monitor is an agentless SQL Server Analysis, Integration, Reporting services and Windows performance monitoring tool. It is designed for monitoring performance metrics in real-time with built-in performance metrics information and tuning advice. A couple days ago, we released the new version of ApexSQL BI Monitor. It comes with a multitude of enhancements and 10 bug fixes: Alert list can be filtered by alert state and read/unread state Alert list is grouped by date, metric and source Annotations with comments and files can be added to charts Improved alerts page filtering Improved application installer with a dark theme New application icon Support for Azure analysis services The alerts page loading is faster by up to 6400% for large data sets The individual alert page displays the alert history chart To learn more, check out the ApexSQL BI Monitor product page or ApexSQL BI Monitor 2018 R5 - Product update alert If there's a feature you find very important and we don't have it in ApexSQL BI Monitor, please send us your suggestions at support@apexsql.com ApexSQL Log and ApexSQL Recover We've also released new versions of ApexSQL Log and ApexSQL Recover to support SQL Server 2019 CTP 2.0 and to introduce new visual and usability enhancements. Below is the full list of features included in ApexSQL Log R2 and ApexSQL Recover R3 releases, and for more information please see ApexSQL Log and ApexSQL Recover product pages SQL Server 2019 CTP 2.0 support New error handling and send logs functionality Improved application installer with a dark theme New application icon The "Make new folder" button has been added to all browse for folder dialogs ApexSQL Job and ApexSQL Analyze These releases are not huge ones, but they are hugely important as they introduce the support for SQL Server 2019 CTP 2.0. Apart from the support for 2019, ApexSQL Analyze also got outfitted with the new, dark installer and several bug fixes in this release. ApexSQL VM Monitor This video shows how to start using ApexSQL VM Monitor. It shows important high-level features and usage of essential parts of ApexSQL VM Monitor like Alerts, Reports and Configuration. Specifically, configuration of metrics, settings for historical data, how to include/exclude hardware devices, how to see list of hosted virtual machines. ApexSQL Monitor - Reviewing and resolving alerts Check out this video to learn how to get to the bottom of reviewing and resolving alerts and generating reports using the Reports feature.
