ApexSQL December 2018 newsletter - Data masking and free database modeling   Click here to view this newsletter in your browser         ApexSQL January 2019 newsletter     Free database modeling If you haven’t heard the news, we’ve recently released, ApexSQL Model, a free database modeling tool for SQL Server with a killer UI and lots of cool features. Currently, the only key missing feature is to be able to forward engineer to either a new or existing database. We’ll soon augment the tool to add forward engineering to a new database but if you have ApexSQL Diff Professional Edition, you can do that now, as well as update an existing database with changes. ApexSQL Diff Professional edition seamlessly integrates with ApexSQL Model to ensure error-free updates, no matter how complicated your schema is. If you don’t have time to download the tool, you can take 2 minutes to step through a comprehensive screen shot tour of every dialog and feature in the application. See ApexSQL Model 2018 – Screenshot tour One of the coolest features of ApexSQL Model is the ability to totally customize the appearance of diagram tables including icons, colors, font, columns, rows and more. To learn more about diagram element customization see Customizing table element displays in ApexSQL Model If you want to see what ApexSQL Model can do with some well known databases from Pubs to WideWorldImporters see Reverse engineering tour – Visualizing databases with data model diagrams Sensitive data classification and masking In case you missed it, we announced the imminent release of ApexSQL Mask in the last newsletter.
