With the release of the 2018 versions of ApexSQL Log and ApexSQL Recover, we are introducing our new look and feel. Based on SSMS 17 and Visual Studio 2017, we’ve introduced new themes and icons that are a significant departure, and hopefully improvement, from our 2017 interfaces. * From the Showtime series, “Dexter” ;) Along with the new themes and icons we also enhanced the 2018 interfaces with High DPI and 4K resolution support. For more information on the 2018 interface enhancements, see the blog post New 2018 versions: New interface, themes and icons, High DPI and 4K resolution support Check out screen shot tours for ApexSQL Log and ApexSQL Recover on the blog. BI and VM monitoring We’ll soon (December timeframe) be introducing solutions for VM monitoring, including VMware and Hyper-V as well as BI monitoring including, SSIS, SSAS and SSRS. As we ready these products, we’ve gone ahead and posted product pages to allow for previewing some of the features, screen shots etc. See the blog post Product pages for BI and VM monitoring posted for screen shots, feature information and links or go directly to the product pages for ApexSQL VM Monitor and ApexSQL BI Monitor Continuous integration and delivery dashboard The first phase of the ApexSQL CI/CD toolkit was released with open source PowerShell scripts hosted on our GitHub repository. We plan a major update to these scripts in December along with support for the newly minted “Review” step using ApexSQL Enforce We hope to release the second phase, the Web dashboard, in December. This dashboard provides a web based graphical interface over the API that we created with our PowerShell scripts. The final phase will be direct plug-ins for popular Build servers like Jenkins, Bamboo and TFS. Everything that can be configured via the PowerShell scripts can also be done via the dashboard including: Steps can be added, removed, turned on and off Pipelines can be scheduled, set to run on a new commit or manually initiated Progress can be tracked along with reports and summaries Users can be added, edited, removed Individual steps can be configured To take a visual tour through the ApexSQL CI/CD toolkit dashboard, see ApexSQL CI/CD dashboard screenshot tour Free keys, get your free keys here!
