ApexSQL October 2017 newsletter - Big new versions of query plan analysis and recovery tools, fatal attraction and free upgrade promotion   Click here to view this newsletter in your browser         ApexSQL October 2017 newsletter     In this newsletter we’ll be highlighting three major new releases along with some other fun stuff ApexSQL Plan In this, our second release of ApexSQL Plan, a new, free query execution analysis tool we have released a host of new features including History statistics comparison Save and open XML plans Open Query Store support Optimized Query Store Query Store dashboard Resource cost profile bars Stored procedure analysis See What’s new in ApexSQL Plan 2017 R2 or the ApexSQL Plan product page for more info ApexSQL Recover We also released a major new version of ApexSQL Recover. For years, customers have had to determine which tool to use for a recovery scenario, a transaction log approach the covered certain things like rogue updates or deletes or a non-transaction log approach for things like dropped or truncated tables. We even created a flow chart to help customers decide. Now that is all in the past. All recovery features and options have been consolidated in one tool, ApexSQL Recover. See What’s new in ApexSQL Recover 2018 or the ApexSQL Recover product page for more info What about ApexSQL Log? Well, we didn’t remove these features from ApexSQL Log and we are enhancing the log based features like forensic auditing (full row history, before and after), as well as continuous auditing, writing log history data directly to a database.
