SQL Server 2017 will be here soon. We worked hard to be ready with full Day 1 support. Here is our official statement “Our goal is Day 1 support for SQL Server 2017 which will be made generally available on October 2. In the past few months, we’ve made great progress towards this by successfully adding full support for SQL Server 2017 Windows instances for all our products. Also, we’ve ensured support for SQL Server 2017 Linux instances for 10 of our products. We’ll be adding support for more tools in the coming months. Please see our Supported software page for full updated info” Upcoming releases In the last newsletter we announced the upcoming release of ApexSQL VM Monitor, but in fact, ApexSQL BI Monitor should be out sooner. “November 2017 will bring a valuable contribution to a set of ApexSQL monitoring tools – ApexSQL BI Monitor. Besides being able to monitor Microsoft SQL Servers with ApexSQL Monitor and virtual environments with ApexSQL VM Monitor, you will soon be able to monitor all Microsoft SQL Server services, including analysis services, reporting services, and integration services. ApexSQL BI Monitor will be a web application, with a familiar ApexSQL Monitor web interface, that monitors system, analysis, reporting and integration services’ performance in real time. We’ve curated a set of more than 100 performance counters that will be included in the first release.” For more information, please see the article What’s next in ApexSQL DBA: ApexSQL BI Monitor – Microsoft SQL Server services monitoring The initial release of ApexSQL Enforce has been delayed but the release is imminent.
