For years, customers have had to determine which tool to use for a recovery scenario, a transaction log approach the covered certain things like rogue updates or deletes or a non-transaction log approach for things like dropped or truncated tables. We even created a flow chart to help customers decide. Now that is all in the past. All recovery features and options have been consolidated in one tool, ApexSQL Recover. Well, we didn’t remove these features from ApexSQL Log and we are enhancing the log based features like forensic auditing (full row history, before and after), as well as continuous auditing, writing log history data directly to a database.
